Renault, among many other manufacturers, has been left red-faced after 7 Indian cars failed the Global NCAP crash tests. Among those cars were 3 variants of the Kwid, all of which scored 0 out of 5 stars for adult occupant protection. While the cars that failed the tests were India-spec models, it looks like the yet-to-be-launched Brazil-spec Kwid is going to be equipped with ABS and 4 airbags. The Kwid is powered by a 0.8-litre petrol mill which churns out 54PS of power and 72Nm of torque. It mates with a five-speed manual gearbox. The car is priced at Rs 2.6 lakh
